Height changes a room
A stand does what a shelf can't
A plant on the floor reads as furniture you walk around. The same plant lifted to knee or waist height reads as something you look at. That is most of what a stand is for.
Ours are iron, brass and reclaimed timber — weighted to stay put once a wet pot is sitting on them.
Made to be left out
Zinc that gets better wet
Aged zinc and oxidised iron are supposed to keep changing. Left outside they darken, spot and soften over a season or two — that is the finish arriving, not failing.
Where a pot is frost proof or drilled for drainage, we say so on the product page.
Before you plant
Pick the size before you pick the pot
Go 1–2 cm wider than the current root ball for a small plant, 2–4 cm for a large one. Too much spare soil holds water around the roots for longer than the plant wants.
Unglazed clay breathes and dries faster. Glazed and metal pots hold moisture. Which you want depends entirely on the plant.

How long will my order take?
3–6 business days in total — 1–2 business days for us to pick and pack, then 2–4 business days with Royal Mail. Delivery is free on every order.
What if I change my mind?
You have 14 days from delivery to tell us, and another 14 days to send it back. A prepaid return label is already in your parcel — we pay the postage and there is no restocking fee.
Do the pots have drainage holes?
It varies by design, so we state it on each product page. Several ceramic planters have a drainage hole with a removable stopper: plug in for indoors, plug out for outdoors.
Which pots survive a British winter?
Look for “frost proof” on the product page. Wet soil expands as it freezes and that is what cracks a pot — not the cold itself. If in doubt, empty it or move it somewhere sheltered.
Why does the colour look different from the photo?
Reactive glazes break differently in the kiln on every piece, and hand-etched and hand-coiled items vary too. That variation is deliberate.
